The Agile project charter is a document created when the project starts

An agile project charter is a document created when the project starts whose purpose is to provide a clear and concise definition of what success looks like for the project.

This document contains essential and valuable information about the project: the project’s vision, mission and success criteria.

A project vision serves as the inspiration and provides focus for the project. It describes the goals for the project.

A project mission describes what has to be realize the project vision. For example, how the team will work together to reach the project goals.

Having a project success criteria that is approved by key stakeholders allows to determine if the project has been successful or not.

Keep in mind: an agile project charter serves as a road-map for achieving the expected results of the project.
